Job Summary

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to appoint a dynamic and commercially astute Head of Finance Business Partnering for our client based in Midrand.

The Head of Finance Business Partnering (reporting to the Finance Director: Africa) plays a pivotal role in driving financial performance strategic alignment and profitability across the Value-Add businesses in South Africa including the Customer and Convenience business units.

Partner with leadership teams to drive strategic decision-making and financial performance.
Lead budgeting forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
Provide deep insights into product costing product margins cost drivers and profitability.
Support business growth initiatives including new markets products and investments.
Drive cost optimisation and operational efficiency across the value chain.
Embed finance into cross-functional teams to support data-driven decisions.
Ensure strong financial governance internal controls and compliance.
Lead develop and inspire a high-performing finance team.

Requirements

CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (essential)
810 years experience in Finance.
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Business partnering Costing and margin analysis Internal Controls.
Industry experience in Agriculture / Farming (preferred) FMCG / Manufacturing / Food processing.
Financial modelling and scenario analysis.
Budgeting forecasting and performance management.
ERP systems BI tools and advanced Excel.
Strong understanding of financial governance and internal controls.
Strong commercial and strategic thinking.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Proven leadership and people management capability.
High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure.
