Job Summary
Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to appoint a dynamic and commercially astute Head of Finance Business Partnering for our client based in Midrand.
The Head of Finance Business Partnering (reporting to the Finance Director: Africa) plays a pivotal role in driving financial performance strategic alignment and profitability across the Value-Add businesses in South Africa including the Customer and Convenience business units.
- Partner with leadership teams to drive strategic decision-making and financial performance.
- Lead budgeting forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
- Provide deep insights into product costing product margins cost drivers and profitability.
- Support business growth initiatives including new markets products and investments.
- Drive cost optimisation and operational efficiency across the value chain.
- Embed finance into cross-functional teams to support data-driven decisions.
- Ensure strong financial governance internal controls and compliance.
- Lead develop and inspire a high-performing finance team.
Requirements
- CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (essential)
- 810 years experience in Finance.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Business partnering Costing and margin analysis Internal Controls.
- Industry experience in Agriculture / Farming (preferred) FMCG / Manufacturing / Food processing.
- Financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Budgeting forecasting and performance management.
- ERP systems BI tools and advanced Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial governance and internal controls.
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership and people management capability.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure.
