As the Lodge Manager you will be the heart of our operations ensuring that every guests stay is seamless and memorable. This is a live-in position requiring a versatile leader who can manage a boutique 6-suite environment with a focus on high-end service community values and conservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations across all departments including Front of House Housekeeping Maintenance and Food & Beverage.
- Guest Hosting: Act as the primary host personally greeting guests and ensuring a warm personalized luxury experience.
- Financial Management: Manage operational budgets stock control procurement and daily revenue reporting.
- Staff Development: Lead and mentor a team of approximately 1520 staff members fostering a positive work culture in line with community-driven values.
- Maintenance & Quality Control: Ensure the lodges physical assets including the pool and deck overlooking the waterhole are maintained to the highest standards.
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with the local community and partners and local suppliers.
Requirements
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 35 years in a senior lodge management role within a luxury (4/5-star) safari or boutique hotel environment.
- Qualifications: A relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Tourism Management is highly beneficial.
- Skills: Strong financial acumen proficiency in MS Office and Property Management Systems (e.g. NightsBridge).
- Attributes: A guest-centric mindset with high attention to detail and a passion for wildlife conservation and community empowerment.
- Other: Valid South African Drivers License (essential) and sober habits.
