Credit Manager NBFC
Job Summary
Role Overview:
The Credit Manager will be responsible for evaluating analyzing and underwriting credit proposals for both secured and unsecured loan products i.e. Business loans Loan against Property Personal loans . The role requires strong analytical skills sound judgment and adherence to regulatory and company credit policies to ensure portfolio quality and risk mitigation. Exposure to digital underwriting platforms and BRE logic implementation is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and underwrite credit proposals for secured and unsecured loans within defined turnaround times.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis including balance sheet P&L cash flow and ratio analysis. GST banking etc.
- Evaluate borrower profiles collateral valuation and repayment capacity.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies RBI guidelines and regulatory norms.
- Work on digital underwriting systems including configuration and validation of BRE logic for automated decision-making.
- Collaborate with product and technology teams to enhance credit workflows and automation.
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend corrective actions for risk mitigation.
- Prepare credit appraisal notes and present cases to credit committees for approval.
- Maintain documentation and audit readiness for all credit decisions.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
- CA Inter / ICWA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification.
- CA Inter / ICWA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience:
- 35 years of experience in credit underwriting for NBFCs or banks preferably in secured and unsecured loan segments.
- Hands-on experience with digital underwriting platforms and BRE logic configuration.
