Hotel Sales Manager drives revenue by securing group bookings corporate accounts and events typically responsible for developing sales strategies identifying new business opportunities and nurturing client relationships. They analyze market trends to set pricing negotiate contracts and collaborate with teams to meet occupancy goals. SiteMinder SiteMinder 5 Core Responsibilities Business Development: Identifying and acquiring new corporate accounts group bookings and event business through proactive sales calls networking and industry trade shows. Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure repeat business. Strategy and Revenue Management: Setting tracking and achieving sales targets and occupancy goals while collaborating on marketing plans and pricing strategies. Contract Negotiation: Negotiating rates and contract terms with clients to maximize profitability for the hotel. Operational Coordination: Providing accurate timely and effective turnover of booked business to the operational teams (e.g. front office events catering). Reporting and Forecasting: Analyzing market trends monitoring competitor activities and preparing sales reports and forecasts. SiteMinder SiteMinder 8 Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: Previous experience in hotel sales catering or event management often requiring a degree in Hospitality Management or Business. Communication: Excellent negotiation verbal and written communication skills. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) CRM software and revenue management tools. Leadership: Ability to lead mentor and in some cases supervise a sales team.
