The Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading UK main contractor renowned for delivering high-profile complex projects across sectors including commercial residential healthcare and infrastructure. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work they are seeking an experienced Senior Pre-Construction Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and securing future projects.

This is a strategic position where you will lead the pre-construction function on major bids some in excess of 100m working closely with clients consultants and internal delivery teams to develop winning solutions.

Requirements

The Role

As a Senior Pre-Construction Manager you will:

• Lead and manage the full pre-construction lifecycle from initial enquiry through to contract award
  
• Oversee bid strategy programme development and cost planning in collaboration with estimating teams
  
• Engage with clients to understand key drivers ensuring tailored and competitive submissions
  
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including design commercial and operational stakeholders
  
• Drive innovation value engineering and risk management throughout the bid process
  
• Mentor and develop junior members of the pre-construction team
  
• Ensure governance compliance and quality standards are consistently met
  

About You

• Proven experience in a senior pre-construction or bid leadership role within a main contractor.
  
• Strong track record of winning and delivering large-scale projects (50m - 100m)
  
• Excellent commercial awareness and technical understanding of construction methodologies
  
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
  
• Ability to lead influence and inspire teams in a fast-paced environment
  
• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Construction Management Engineering or a related field
