We are currently recruiting for a Registered General Nurse Theatre/Anaesthetic for a hospital based in Limerick.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Staff Nurse Theatre/Anaesthetic
- Location: Limerick
- Job Type: Permanent
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Responsibilities
Assess operating room patients plan care and implement and document clinical nursing interventions in line with hospital policies
Deliver patient-centred care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment at all times
Function effectively within the surgical team as a scrub circulating or anaesthetic nurse demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills
Collaborate with relevant healthcare agencies to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
Prepare patients for procedures ensuring they are well-informed and supported addressing any concerns
Adhere to and demonstrate best practices in infection prevention and control
Communicate and liaise with CNMs and consultants regarding any clinical concerns or complications
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and overall experience
Take responsibility for personal clinical practice maintaining and developing professional competence in line with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland standards
Stay informed of national and local quality standards and guidelines including those set by Joint Commission International and Health Information and Quality Authority
Requirements
Be registered in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
Have a minimum of 12 years post-registration experience in an acute care nursing setting
Demonstrate previous experience in theatre or anaesthetic nursing for specialised clinical areas
Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification or have completed a related educational course (desirable)
Have experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (desirable)
