JUNIOR CONTROLLER (Permanent)
Our client an established manufacturing company in WNY is looking to hire a Junior Controller to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to perform daily accounting duties while gaining experience in strategic initiatives and have an impact in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily Accounting/Finance responsibilities contributing to the overall financial success of the organization
- Manage monthly/quarterly/annual close processes extracting critical data from ERP system to ensure accuracy
- Prepare journal entries and conduct reconciliations making adjustments where necessary
- Participate in costing process improvements; conduct cost adjustments and profitability reporting
- Utilize Power BI to create various dashboards and metrics to present to upper leadership
- Participate in creating/managing budgets forecasting and performing ad-hoc financial analysis
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure accurate financial reporting and improve workflows
- Analyze current processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and offer educated actionable recommendations
- Complete special projects in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time direct hire
- 100% in-office
- $75000 - $95000 annually depending on experience
- Health/Dental/Vision (significant company contribution toward deductible) PTO & paid holidays disability coverage
- 4-5 years progressive Accounting experience; Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Excellent computer skills; Excel Power BI etc.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organization skills and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Relocation not available
