Title: Junior Project Cost Estimator

Essential Job Duties

• Prepare preliminary independent cost estimates of projects for comparison with designer or contractor for PM/CM to establish negotiating position.
• Assist in preparing change order estimates for Owner Authorized Representatives (OARs) to establish negotiating position
• Provides support in price negotiations
• Prepares claim analysis and estimates
• Prepares detailed estimates of construction costs based on drawings specifications and sketches
• Assists in reviewing contractors claims and proposals for merit and accountability
• Conducts research on recent cost and price changes in supplies and services

Professional Experience Level/Other Quali cations

Education/Training

• Bachelors degree in engineering architecture engineering or construction management
• Two (2) years full-time paid professional experience in construction estimating of facilities or School
• Construction.
• Knowledge of current local construction labor and material costs
• Experience in developing and estimating the scope of work for change orders
• Ability to compare the independent cost estimate with contractor proposal to identify differences
• Ability to develop scope of work based on RFI/RFC answers and estimates the detailed costs of those scopes of work independent of the contractor proposal
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Fact-find and in-depth skills

Compensation

• This role is salaried/exempt with a base annual salary range of $100000.00 - $ 114131.00 and commensurate with skill education experience and work location.
• This role is bonus eligible after 6 months of employment.
