One of the most important sectors Luxer One serves is the University campus. The diversity consistency and intensity of smart locker adoption demands focused attention. Spanning library material pickup IT asset exchange student package & mail deliveries campus store pickups and more the opportunities are abundant. Luxer One is seeking to elevate its proven solutions and make new investments to deliver an even richer experience. We need a Business Manager University & Higher Education to help guide this one-of-a-kind ship.

Higher education institutions operate differently from other commercial accounts. As the Business Manager University & Higher Education you should have a deep understanding of academic environments shared governance budget cycles and know the importance of long-term institutional relationships. You should be able to speak the language of higher education and position our products as a strategic solution aligned with university priorities. Smart lockers are relied upon heavily in this market segment and Luxer One is committed to delivering the best all-around solution.

What Youll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close within the higher education vertical.
  • Work closely with the Product and team customers and industry partners to develop new solutions and enhance existing.
  • Manage existing reseller partners and seek new ones.
  • Qualify new integration partnerships and work with the Product team on scope & execution.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan focused on colleges and universities.
  • Build relationships with key campus stakeholders (e.g. Operations Facilities Housing IT Procurement Administration)
  • Be Luxer Ones ambassador in the University space.
  • Navigate complex multi-departmental decision-making processes.
  • Manage RFPs RFIs and formal procurement processes common in Higher Ed.
  • Work with the account management team to identify expansion opportunities within existing university accounts.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM hygiene.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and higher education events as needed.
  • Support Project Management and Account Management with customer onboarding and activation.
  • Log regular feedback internally on customer journey pain points value provided by Luxer One.


Requirements

What Were Looking For

  • Multi-year experience in consultative technology sales roles with proven attainment of metrics.
  • Strong executive presence and consultative selling skills.
  • Existing relationships within University systems & experience selling operational facilities-related technology or infrastructure solutions is a huge plus!
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience being the tip of the spear for Product creation and enhancements.
  • Successful track record launching and scaling new products.
  • Experience managing Hardware & SaaS sales cycles with Director VP and Executive level stakeholders.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hardware & SaaS sales experience preferred.
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Direct experience selling into colleges universities or higher education institutions OR
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the university market including procurement cycles budgeting timelines and campus decision structures.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience responding to RFPs in the higher education sector
  • Familiarity with public-sector purchasing processes
  • Hardware SaaS sales experience

Location & Travel

  • Sacramento CA proximity-based preferred. Remote depending on experience.
  • Travel as needed for prospect & customer visits tradeshows HQ visits etc.
