Oversee and execute all aspects of payroll processing for U.S. and Canada including multistate and provincial payrolls garnishments taxes benefits related impacts and special compensation programs.
Ensure accuracy of records by reviewing and approving time entries exemptions direct deposits garnishments deductions taxes and employee master file changes
Validate earnings tax withholdings deductions leaves bonuses and 401(k)/retirement plan eligibility; review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy.

Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements in US and Canada including but not limited to OH BWC PA LST WSIB EI Revenue Quebec WA DOL and NY Disability
Safeguard payroll data confidentiality and adhere to internal controls and audit standards
Lead systems upgrades enhancements integrations and testing activities to ensure payroll technology remains efficient and compliant
Partner with HRIS IT vendors and Finance to optimize payroll processes and resolve system related issues.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows eliminate redundancies and strengthen data integrity
Manage and carry-out the payroll submission process to the third-party processor including special pay items such as deferred compensation company-provided vehicle and tax gross-ups
Prepare and deliver regular or special reports for head count labor hours and payroll costs and other items to support audit requests
Support internal and external auditors; implement recommended improvements to controls and process documentation
Acts as a key payroll advisor to HR Company Leadership and employees by providing guidance and subject matter expertise to resolve questions and issues
Create maintain and monitor reporting related to payroll process efficiency quality and effectiveness
Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
Protect Chamberlain Groups reputation by keeping information confidential.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reading professional publications establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
The pay range for this position is $85500.00 - $139350.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including but not limited to the position offered location education training and/or addition to base pay also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
