As part of its strategic expansion into the West African market the company is seeking a results-driven Sales Executive with a proven track record in enterprise and solution sales to lead its sales and business development efforts in Nigeria and the broader Pan-African landscape.
This role is ideal for a commercially astute professional with a deep understanding of the Nigerian market strong C-level relationship management capability and the ability to unlock high-value business opportunities across key sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the sales of the companys products and services managing key client accounts developing new business pipelines and consistently meeting or exceeding ambitious sales targets.
The role will also involve conducting market and desk research preparing technical and commercial bids for tenders and collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer satisfaction while contributing significantly to the companys growth journey and market leadership ambitions in West Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders.
Conduct market research to identify potential customers and their needs.
Present and demonstrate products or services to prospective clients.
Working closely with Sales to ensure the successful closure of the sales process.
Prepare cost estimates and technical proposals such that it meets clients requirement.
Managing the sales bid process by responding to RFIs & RFP.
Carrying out tender responses answering and expanding on functional/technical requirements within complex tender documents of potential clients
Assist the sales team in qualifying potential customers.
Working with the Pre-sales Manager and the Business Development Manager to ensure that all sales documentation and collateral is kept up to date and relevant.
Negotiate and close sales deals ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
Prepare and deliver sales proposals presentations and contracts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issue or concerns.
Stay updated with industry trends competitor activities and market conditions.
Provide timely and accurate sales reports forecasts and other relevant information to management.
Participate in sales meetings conferences and events to network and promote the companys products or services.
Train and mentor junior sales team members providing guidance and support.
Hands on experience in working with Microsoft Office and sales CRM tools.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
Bachelorʼs degree in Business Administration Marketing or in any related field.
MBA or Masters in Business is an added advantage.
4 year of experience in SaaS or IT sales (B2B) with a strong track record of performance.
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed high sales targets.
Experience in working with sales targets (previous target history to be reviewed).
Ability to handle bid and tender process.
Experience in engaging and managing relationships with senior leadership and top management.
Displays a high level of professional with a polished corporate presence and business-appropriate appearance.
Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Strong corporate stability with a history or remaining in roles for at least 2 years (no frequent job changes).
Must possess a valid passport and be willing to travel to Nairobi Kenya for Training.
