Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Club General Manager for a luxury health and fitness club operating in the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. This is a dynamic role suited to a hospitality or fitness professional who thrives in a high-end service environment and is committed to delivering exceptional member experiences.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Club General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations support staff management and ensure the club operates efficiently while maintaining its reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Club General Manager in overseeing daily club operations

Support and manage staff fostering a professional motivated and high-performing team

Ensure exceptional member experiences through personalised service and attention to detail

Assist with operational planning administration and reporting

Maintain the highest standards of health safety and hygiene

Implement and support club policies procedures and standards

Assist with budgeting cost control and operational efficiency initiatives

Contribute to marketing membership retention and growth strategies

Requirements:

Previous experience in a management role within luxury health fitness or hospitality environments

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent communication interpersonal and organisational abilities

Ability to work across multiple locations (Eastern Cape & KZN)

Proactive professional and member-focused approach

Experience with budgeting reporting and operational oversight

Flexible adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic environment
