Position Description:
Ontario Shores seeks a full-time Clinical Fellow for a tailored fellowship opportunity with the principal aim of increasing eating disorder clinical teaching research and system capacity. Ontario Shores offers flexibility with this position depending on the area of expertise and interest. The Fellow would be expected to contribute to the academic life of Ontario Shores and the University of Toronto as well including through engagement in teaching quality improvement work and/or research to be determined with the applicant.
The Eating Disorders Unit (EDU) is comprised of 12 inpatient beds for children and adolescents. The Fellow will work with an interprofessional team including dietary medical occupational therapy social work physiotherapy recreational therapy pharmacy and behavioural therapy to provide specialized assessment and treatment plans with a focus on recovery and rehabilitation.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED & PREFERRED:
- Candidates must be eligible for a Certificate of Registration for Postgraduate Education or an Independent Practice License from the College Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Qualification in psychiatry or pediatrics
- Candidates must be eligible for registration with the University of Toronto Fellowship Office. Trainees who are neither Canadian citizens nor Permanent Residents require a work permit to train at the University of Toronto.
- The successful candidate will have demonstrated academic interest and the leadership skills to work with an interprofessional team.
