• Hourly pay rate of $20.21 to $23.10

What you will be doing:

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee tea and other beverages to Fairmont standards
• Operate espresso machines grinders and other coffee equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain consistency quality and presentation of all beverages served
• Provide prompt courteous and personalized service to all guests
• Assist with inventory control stock rotation and replenishment of coffee and related supplies
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process cash credit and other transactions accurately
• Balance cash prepare daily reports and reconcile sales at the end of the shift
• Suggest and upsell food and beverage items to guests
• Clean and maintain barista station equipment and storage areas
• Adhere to all health safety and sanitation standards in beverage preparation and service
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Your experience and skills include:

• Minimum of two (2) years recent (within the last 5 years) barista or beverage service experience in a high-volume or premium environment
• Food Safe Certification required.
• Knowledge of specialty coffee espresso-based drinks and tea preparation
• Cash handling and POS operation experience
• Ability to operate standard coffee equipment efficiently and safely
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to perform with minimal supervision
• Strong guest service focus with the ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs
• Fluent in English both written and verbal
• Impeccable grooming and professional presentation

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): The position of Night Guest Agent is physically demanding.  The successful applicant must be physically capable of performing repetitive work as well as lifting and carrying heavy loads. 

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
