Position Summary
An arena Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean and well-presented environment throughout the facility with a focus on offices suites and club areas. Responsibilities include routine cleaning of workspaces premium seating areas restrooms and common areas; trash removal; restocking supplies; and supporting event-related cleaning needs as needed. This role is essential in ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and comfort for guests clients and staff.
This role pays an hourly rate of $18.50-$21.50
Benefits for part-time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.
This position will remain open until July 17th 2026.
About the Venue
The Cross Insurance Arena owned by Cumberland County and managed by Oak View Group opened in 1977 and was renovated in 2012 as a 6200-seat venue in Portland Maine. Home to the Maine Mariners (ECHL) the arena hosts top concerts comedy family shows and major sporting events including state basketball and hockey championships. Responsibilities
- Clean offices suites club areas and restrooms to a high standard.
- Dust wipe and disinfect surfaces including desks counters and fixtures.
- Vacuum carpets and mop floors in assigned areas.
- Remove trash and recycling; replace liners and maintain waste stations.
- Restock and organize supplies (paper products soap linens hand sanitizers etc.).
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of clubs corridors and premium spaces.
- Identify and report maintenance or deep-cleaning needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior cleaning or housekeeping experience is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Flexible availability including nights weekends and holidays as needed.
