Role: Project Engineer Operational Reliability (FSD)
Contract Duration: 6 months
Work Location: Blind River ON
Years Experience: Intermediate (4-9yrs)
Role Description / Key Responsibilities As a member of the Blind River Maintenance and Technical Services team you will report to the Coordinator Engineering Projects. You willbe responsible forthe quality execution of projects to ensure company goals and businessobjectivesare achieved. Projects are in various stages ranging from concept/framing through to implementation. We are looking for a resilient and results driven project manager who thrives in complex environments. The successful candidate will cut through bureaucracy extract clarity where information is fragmented and confidently manage difficult relationships to keep projects moving forward. They will take full ownership of delivery across cost schedule scope quality and HSE requirements demonstrating the ability to see initiatives through to completion despite changing priorities and with minimal oversight.
You will manage a focused portfolio of reliability improvement projects ensuring alignment with program goals and delivering measurable improvements in asset performance risk reduction and maintenance strategy. The role is heavily centered on identifying prioritizing and executing reliability-driven initiatives in collaboration with operations maintenance and engineering stakeholders.
Nonroutine maintenance (NRM) projects will be undertaken as required and will include typical engineering and execution tasks such as equipment selection work planning commissioning drawing revisions and maintenance plan development all in compliance with Camecos design control and Management of Change (MoC) processes.
Skills/Previous Experience
- Engineering degree (Mechanical Industrial Chemical or Electrical)
- Minimum of five years of progressive industrial engineering experience with several years focussed on projects/reliability/process management.
- Designation (PEO required)
- AutoCAD proficiency required. Should be able to create / edit drawings (P&IDs Single Line Electrical)
- PMP preferred
- Experience in a processing/refining environment is required.
- Familiarity with ASME & ASTM codes for piping / pressure vessels is advantageous
- Experience with Brown Field Projects
- Prior experience with SAP
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety culture
