We are currently seeking anHVAC System Modeling andSimulation Engineer to join our Advanced Technology team.As part of this role you will work on HVAC equipment related software development which addresses allaspectof equipment life-cycle from designing testing ratingstofield operations.You will liaison with software developers product/controls/data engineers and R&D teams to develop and deploy smart tools. The person in this positionwilllead thesystemmodeling groupand set the technical direction.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Lead efforts to enhance the existing simulation platform by modularizing and adding transientsto support new product and technology development projects.
• Conductphysics-basedthermodynamic modeling and analysis of refrigeration systems and components.
• Develop hybrid or data drivencomponentmodelsas neededto support model-based design testing and field operation.
• Lead projectstechnically andcoordinate the efforts ofsoftware development team andusers.

• Masters degree in mechanical engineering or higher (PhDpreferred) with a focus on thermal sciences.
• 5years of relevant experiencepreferred.
• Strong understanding of the fundamentals of thermodynamics heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
• Experience in modeling analysis and testing of HVAC&R components and systems such as condensers evaporators and compressors.
• Experience with numerical methods andsoftware engineering methods for developinguser-facingtools.
• Proficiencyin programming with PythonC;Proficiencyin any of the newer simulation environments - MATLAB/SimulinkModelica Julia etc.
• Knowledge of building simulationsanddata analytics/AI/MLmethods(nice to have).
• Willingness and ability to work with cross-functional global teams and drive results.
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Be able to work on multiple projects and prioritize tasks;Organized with strong attention to detail.
• Must be a proven self-starter with the capability to work independently underthe generalmanagement direction.
• Motivation to work on novel/difficult problems with a flair for creative problem solving.

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. We are open to hiring at different levels for this position (ME II - ME IV) depending on experience and skillset resulting in a wide compensation range. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $80000 - $145000 that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills education experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for the BroadBase Incentive (BBI) program with a target payout of 2%. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Location and Schedule: This position is located in Carrollton TX and will be in the office Monday through Friday.
