Assistant Teacher / Floater Opening Shift
The Learning Experience Hudson Yards is seeking a reliable Assistant Teacher / Floater to support classrooms during morning arrival hours and early daily routines. This role helps create a calm organized start to each childs day while assisting across multiple classrooms as needed.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a variety of age groups and helping classrooms begin the day smoothly and successfully.
Key Responsibilities
Provide morning classroom support for infants through preschool-aged children
Assist with arrival routines and help children transition comfortably into their day
Prepare classrooms and materials before scheduled learning activities begin
Support teachers with breakfast routines and early classroom setup
Maintain a safe welcoming and organized environment throughout the morning
Step into classrooms as needed to maintain ratios and coverage
Communicate professionally with families during drop-off times
Follow all New York State and NYC health safety and licensing requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma required
Prior childcare or preschool experience preferred
Comfortable supporting multiple classrooms and age groups
Dependable and punctual with strong teamwork skills
Must meet New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
