The Equipment Manager is responsible for maintaining organizing and preparing Park Productions equipment to ensure all shoots run smoothly. This role requires above average technical knowledge of filmmaking tools great organizational skills and ability to prep gear on a weekly basis.

Market hiring Range: $16.30-$16.45

Key Responsibilities:


Equipment Management & Organization

  • Maintain and organize all equipment stored in Park 266 ensuring the workspace remains orderly for shared use.
  • Manage and track equipment including Canon C200s BMPCC6K Canon 5Diii Canon EF lenses Amaran lights modifiers grip equipment (C-stands Maxi stands grip knuckles flags) and audio gear such as the MixPre-6 with Sennheiser microphones.
  • Ensure gear is inspected and properly stored shortly after each shoot.

Shoot Preparation

  • Coordinate with the Director or the Director of Photography before each shoot to confirm required gear and lenses.
  • Insert and format SD cards for cameras and audio recorders.
  • Ensure all gear is ready and staged the day before production.
  • Charge Canon & Sony batteries after each event.

Technical Knowledge & Maintenance

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the camera menu systems and core functions used by the team.
  • Use office hours to become proficient with the companys equipment.
  • Perform basic equipment upkeep cleaning and minor repairs when possible.
  • Issues beyond basic repair should be sent to Christian at PPECS.

Production Coordination

  • Attend all Pro Unit meetings to monitor upcoming shoot dates and equipment requirements.
  • Address gear requirements in advance.

Equipment Planning

  • Provide informed recommendations for future equipment purchases based on production needs and long-term value to the team.
  • Conduct research before suggesting new gear to ensure it benefits current and future
    productions.

Role Expectations

  • Serve as a resource on filmmaking tools and equipment for the production team.
  • Be generally available during the week to stop by the office for quick tasks
  • Maintain consistent communication and remain reachable via phone text EMAIL or other channels.
  • Work independently manage deadlines reliably and ensure preparation is completed without direct supervision
