SALARY:

New York City: $157440-$186960 bonus and long-term incentive eligible

St. Louis MO: $131200 - $155800 bonus and long-term incentive eligible

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Category Development team is a fast-paced human-centric team within the A-B Commercial organization. Our team draws from a diverse set of data including secondary sources like Circana Nielsen & Numerator as well as leading primary research to ensure we stay on top of this dynamic channel. You will work closely with the rest of the Category Development organization to integrate a category perspective into our commercial strategy in the On-Premise serving as the category subject matter expert across the On-Premise channel landscape.

In this role you will be responsible for partnering with our On-Premise Sales leadership and field teams to proactively find opportunities and gaps synthesize and analyze insights and data and work without constraints to identify new trends within the channel. Your ability to collaborate cross functionally and advocate for category growth will drive strategy execution and impact both internally and externally.

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Own category retail relationships and identify new opportunities to influence within all On-Premise channels: Independent Bars and Restaurants Casual Dining (e.g. Buffalo Wild Wings) Concessionaires (e.g. Delaware North Gillette Stadium) Hotels Airports Casinos etc.

  • Manage planograms and the reset process for concessionaires and venues.

  • Develop thought-leadership to be applied across the commercial and retailorganization.

    • RFP development Tap/Package Assortment Optimization Menu Optimization etc.

  • Develop the On-Premise narratives for our Retail Category Strategy.

    • Why Beer & Hard Beverages in the On-Premise Segment Stories etc.

  • Partner with data suppliers to identify gaps and opportunities and identify ways to expand our data reach for the channel.

  • Lead and develop a small team of analysts & contractors.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 Year bachelors degree preferred

  • Must be in office 5 days a week

  • Strategy Insights Marketing and/or Sales experience 10 years (at a mid to large CPG or consumer research/strategy agency desired) with Category or sales experience preferred

  • Proactive Thinker can operate independently and find opportunities ideas and needs without clear day-to-day guidance

  • Collaborator in a dynamic and fast paced environment able to form relationships & influence both internally (Commercial Category Sales Marketing) and externally (Customers) up to senior leadership levels

  • Strong Presentation Skills has experience speaking publicly to and influencing leadership

  • Curious Analytical Creative Strategic able to translate shopper behavior and attitudes into practical insights to have a concrete impact at retail

  • Data Literacy Proficiency with Nielsen data and Numerator preferred
