Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Actuarial Systems the AVP Actuarial System Data and Reporting will be responsible for leading the endtoend actuarial data reporting and valuation systems change activities across Canada and the United States with coordinating across Asia for global system components.

The role provides leadership across Reporting Stewards Data Stewards and Reporting Process & Change (RP&C) teams to ensure actuarial reporting is accurate timely compliant auditable and scalable The AVP role plays a critical role in improving change management efficiency driving global consistency where appropriate; and supporting the adoption of new technologies and ways of working.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee valuation system change management across Canada and the US coordinating global system changes with Asia

  • Influence and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of change management cycles balancing delivery speed business priority control and risk

  • Drive global consistency in systems data and reporting processes where appropriate while respecting regional regulatory and business needs

  • Oversee the endtoend data and reporting requirements for IT delivery and enhancements

  • Coordinate and prioritize Risk Integrity functionality requests with Moodys

  • Lead annual Risk Integrity version upgrades in coordination with Central Model Governance team for AXIS version upgrades

  • Ensure timely and accurate quarterend and annual actuarial reporting including production issue escalation

  • Ensure strong data stewardship and governance practices including data quality documentation and lineage

  • Identify assess and mitigate data and process risks

  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments to drive decisions and resolve issues efficiently

  • Develop future ready skills and talent and coach teams through highpressure situations

  • Act as a change champion supporting adoption of new technologies and ways of working

  • Foster a culture of ownership collaboration continuous improvement and resilience

Required Qualifications:

  • FSA / FCIA with 10 years of actuarial experience

  • Extensive experience in actuarial valuation and reporting

  • Experience working with IT and actuarial systems

  • Demonstrated ability to influence across teams with limited direct authority

  • Strong coaching skills and ability to navigate difficult situations and conversations

  • Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead change operate in ambiguity and deliver results in complex organizations

  • Resultsoriented

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Quebec proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between

$129800.00 CAD - $241200.00 CAD
