Job Description:
Fundata is seeking a motivated and results-driven Bilingual Business Development Associate to support our Business Development team in driving growth and expanding market reach. This is a junior position ideal for candidates with foundational experience in sales client relations or business development. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development the successful candidate will play an integral role inidentifyingnew business opportunities fostering client relationships and supporting the execution of strategic sales initiatives. We are looking for a proactive detail-oriented individual whothrivesin a fast-paced team-oriented environment.This is a one-year contract.
Compensation:
Base salary of $54000 to $62000 (dependent on experience) monthly car allowance (when business travel is )andexcellent benefits.
Job Location:
Fundatashead officeis locatedinToronto (401 and Leslie area). There will be travel for client meetings and industry events both withinthe GTAand Quebec.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the Business Development team inidentifyingand researching potential clients partners and market opportunities.
- Assistin servicing existing clients by responding to inquiries coordinating deliverables andmaintaininga high standard of client service.
- Manage the new client onboarding and setup process ensuring internal systems areupdatedand the billing isaccurateandtimely.
- Monitor client accounts to prevent billing gaps or delays and work with internal teams to resolve any issues promptly.
- Assistin preparing client presentations proposals pitch materials and follow-up communications.
- Maintain and update CRM systems to track leads opportunities and client interactions accurately.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings including scheduling preparing agendas and tracking action items.
- Conduct market and industry research to support strategic planning and business development efforts.
- Help track businessdevelopmentKPIs and generate regular reports for leadership.
- Work with the Marketing and Product teams to ensure that client-facing materials align with business goals.
- Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the Business Development teamoperatesefficiently.
- Travel independently or with a colleague to meet clients and attend conferences as needed to foster learning and network with current and potential clients.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in business development within the financial industry specifically in the investment fund sector.
- Strong command of the Englishand French language(both written and verbal).
- Strong drive to succeed with a team-oriented attitude aiming to meet revenue targets while delivering excellent client service.
- A dynamic and passionate presenter capable of engaging diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to persuade and negotiate through consultation active listening and effective communication.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build andmaintainmeaningful relationships.
- Proven sales aptitude with experience in business development and prospecting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks manage multiple projects and balance both operations and sales strategy.
- Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to use balanced judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent command of MS Office Suite; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
Experience/Education:
- A minimum of2 yearsof experience in business development sales or a client-facing role within the financial or mutual fund industry.
- A network of established relationships within the financial or mutual fund industry.
