Job Description

  • Assist in operating all aspects of the Division ll intercollegiate football program at Winona State University within the guidelines policies rules and regulations of the University NCAA and NSIC.
  • Assist in the identification evaluation recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes for the football program.
  • Assist in mentoring and reporting academic success of student-athletes to ensure graduation of student-athletes.
  • Assist in the training monitoring and evaluation of individual performance.
  • Assist in the organization planning and coaching of all practices and games.
  • Assist with the scouting of opponents including the organization of film editing and using appropriate software programs.
  • Assist with team game tape exchange.
  • Fundraise through camps/clinics and other efforts as needed.
  • Promote and support Winona State University and the Athletic Departments program mission and goals.
  • Represent Winona State University and the Athletic Department in a positive manner with a high degree of integrity and quality.
  • Foster interest in Winona State University with all high school students and school personnel while recruiting for WSU and the football program.
  • Instruct university courses in varied locations at varied times and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
  • Engage in research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
  • Provide evidence of continuing professional development to enhance coaching abilities.
  • Contribute to student growth and development.
  • Provide service to the university and community including the program the department the college the university and the greater community.
  • Support Winona State Universitys mission to enhance the intellectual social cultural and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach or Director of Athletics.

Salary Range: $50065 - $86316.00

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree at time of appointment.
  • Minimum of (2) years of demonstrated success as a Defensive Line Coach
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Preferred Qualification

  • Masters degree or desire to obtain.
  • NCAA Collegiate coaching experience.
  • Knowledge of Midwest recruiting base.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules & regulations.
