AdobesRealTime Customer Data Platform (RTCDP)powers personalized customer experiences for some of the worlds largest brands. As aSenior SRE Technical Lead / Architect you will play a critical role in ensuring RTCDPs reliability scalability and operational excellence ata globalscale.
This is ahigh ownershiphigh impactrolethat bridgesproduction operations (Day2 ownership)andcore datastore engineering.Youllshape how RTCDP is builtoperated and scaledwhile directly owning production reliability for one of Adobes mostcustomer- visibleplatforms.
WhatYoullDo
Own Production Reliability
Ownday2 production reliabilityfor RTCDP ensuring availability performance and durability aligned with SLOs.
Serve asa technicallead during incidents driving mitigation recovery andpost incidentanalysis for SEV3 through SEV1 (CSO) events.
Improve incident response processes on-callhealth and operational readiness.
Partner with product and platform teams to ensureproduction readylaunchesandregional expansions.
Lead Core Datastore Strategy
Provide technical leadership for RTCDPscore datastores including:
Aerospike
FoundationDB
Postgres
CosmosDB
DynamoDB
Drive reliability scalability upgrade backup/restore and disaster recovery strategies.
Lead or influencedatastore automation(provisioning scaling upgrades benchmarking lifecycle management).
Contribute tocost optimization and efficiency improvementsthrough rightsizing and architectural enhancements.
Architect for Scale & Automation
Design and buildautomation firstsolutionsto reduce toil and improve system safety.
Influence architecture decisions that improvereliability scalability and operability.
Build and evolvemonitoring alerting and observabilityfocused on real customer impact.
Promote consistent operational patterns across services teams and regions.
Technical Leadership & Influence
Act as asenior technical authoritywithin the SRE organization.
Mentor engineers and influence teams across geographies without relying on direct ownership.
Partner closely with engineering infrastructure and security teams.
Champion strongSRE and DevOps principles: ownership automation error budgets and continuous improvement.

Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $$331050 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge skillsand experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.In California the pay range for this position is $228600 - $331050
At Adobe for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC base commission) and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
