Registered Nurse (RN) MDSEROB

West River Health Services is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our MDS ER and/or OB team. This person is responsible for assisting physicians while providing treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions. He/she will administer medication monitor and record patient progress and educate families and the patient as needed.

Position Summary:
Utilizing the nursing process the RN assesses plans implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care. The RN is responsible for: meeting the established Standards of Nursing Care Managing assigned personnel and promoting collaboration among the disciplines

• Treats patients with respect and dignity. Providing privacy in all cares.
• Understands and follows physician orders. Has good technical skills and incorporates these into the plan of care.
• Nursing Process: Proper documentation MAR Develop and Revise care plans with measurable goals Kardex Patient and Family Education Discharge Summary and PIE charting.
• Understands staffing mix and appropriately makes assignments.
• Safely administers all medications IV fluids and blood as ordered by physician. Demonstrates knowledge of purpose med dosage calculation of dosage expecting outcomes and adverse reactions.
• Effective communication skills: Supervision of LPNs and NA appropriately informs nursing staff and physicians pertinent changes in patient condition. Clear and concise report. Follow chain of command.
• Critical thinking skills: Recognize significant change in patient condition and takes appropriate action including notification of appropriate personnel and families.
• Good time management skills: Ability to prioritize and multitask. Completes assignments timely and accurately and makes hourly rounds. Flexible to both patient and department needs without interference to patient care.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintains equipment and reports equipment failures to Maintenance/Biomed and CNO if appropriate.
• Provide clear education to patient and family.

Starting salary range: $32.80 - $40.45
