HELPER PROCESSOR (PRP DIVISION)

Primary function

Assist in the Processing operation.

Basic Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various grinding and buffing machines to remove surface defects and/or prepare the surface of materials for further processing.
• Perform and maintain records of processing operations.
• Assist in rolling operations.
• Perform final product inspection.
• Set-up and operate various cut-off equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Perform lower-level duties when necessary.

• Direct efforts of Utility workers as necessary.

Tools and Equipment

• Abrasive belt (bumper) grinder multi-head belt grinder swing frame grinders buffing machines grit blasting machine lift truck electric side loading truck floor-controlled crane hoists hydraulic lift buggy and pull cart weighing scales rockwell hardness tester banding tools abrasive cut-off saws shear knife machines and various hand tools.
