MRI Technologist (MR)

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologists to support the Long Beach VA Health Care System located at 5901 E 7th St Long Beach CA 90822. MRI Technologists shall operate a super conductive MRI machine which is a highly complex computerized imaging device that employs the use of strong magnetic fields and radio waves to acquire images of the entire body including the brain neck spine chest body and extremities. Available shift schedules include days evenings and nights. Responsibilities

• Operates a super conductive MRI machine which is a highly complex computerized imaging device that employs the use of strong magnetic fields and radio waves to acquire images of the entire body including the brain neck spine chest body and extremities
• Sets up radiographic suites and ensures that sterile supplies contrast materials catheters and other required equipment/supplies are present and available
• Prepares and administers contrast material orally by enema or under close supervision of radiologists intravenously but not independently; as required by procedure or patients condition monitors vital signs (blood pressure and heart rate) and reports any significant changes to a radiologist
• Lifts positions pushes and transfers patients supplies and/or equipment as needed
• Performs related clerical duties such as sending images to PACS archiving images and case editing of computer requests and reports
• As required maintains records and enters patient information into the computer through the use of the Radiology Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) package

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Certificate of Completion from a Radiologic Technologist training program accredited by an institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the JCERT
• Advanced certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) is required
• A minimum of one (1) year of proven clinical experience in MRI in a Level 1 hospital setting is preferred
• Previous Siemens equipment experience is preferred
• No sponsorship available

Pay Range:$43.43 - $58.00 hourly

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit stand walk lift squat bend twist and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
