Job Summary
Job Responsibilities:
Evaluate electrical suppliers by considering price quantity availability and quality of service.
Meeting with vendors and visiting suppliers facilities to learn about products services and pricing.
Negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of Redwood Electric Group.
Verifying purchases by comparing items to a preloaded pricing file.
Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors.
Authorizing payments and maintaining receipts records and inventories.
Attend industry trade shows to learn about and stay current on trends and to meet suppliers.
Researching and comparing suppliers goods and services.
Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability product quality and cost-efficiency.
Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchasing needs.
Requesting cost proposals and negotiating contracts and prices.
Preparing and processing purchase orders.
Maintaining records of all transactions purchase orders receipts and payments.
Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries.
Building and maintaining positive long-term supplier relations.
Recommending parts/products from field work order forms.
Taking phone calls from field personnel vendors and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience with Remarcable Program Required
Degree in business administration procurement or a related field preferred.
Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position.
Proficiency in CRM and inventory management software programs.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong organization and documentation skills.
Strong research and analytical skills.
