Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced and responsible Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance and governance for our GIFT City operations. This role will work closely with senior management and regulatory bodies to ensure full adherence to applicable laws regulatory frameworks and internal governance standards while building a strong compliance culture within the organization.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Act as the Compliance Officer reporting directly to senior management.
- Ensure full compliance with GIFT City regulations along with all applicable laws rules and guidelines.
- Develop implement and continuously enhance policies procedures and internal control frameworks.
- Monitor and manage the firms risk and compliance framework ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of risks.
- Oversee proper maintenance of records regulatory filings and documentation in line with compliance standards.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulators including GIFT Authority exchanges depositories and other regulatory bodies.
- Lead and manage regulatory inspections audits and queries ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Build and manage NISM-certified trading and compliance teams ensuring the right structure and capability.
- Ensure continuous training programs and regulatory certifications for relevant employees.
- Provide regular updates on compliance status risks and key issues to the Board / Governing Body.
- Drive the implementation and enforcement of code of conduct governance standards and ethical practices across the organization.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of financial regulations compliance frameworks and GIFT City regulatory environment.
- 5 years of experience in a compliance leadership role within financial services trading firms or regulated entities.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory reporting audits and inspections processes.
- Ability to design and implement robust compliance and risk management systems.
- Experience interacting with regulators and managing external stakeholder relationships.
- Strong leadership capability with experience in building and managing compliance teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior management and board-level stakeholders.
