Manufacturing Business Units Client Services Sales and Service team
Primary Purpose:
Executing the day-to-day operations for material management for the Americas region. Implement effective operational procedures policies and standards for the Operations team for the Oxford Instruments America. Align processes with the developing needs to the business to create efficiencies.
The Operations Specialist is responsible for the execution and ongoing improvement of various operational processes for Oxford Instruments America. This individual will report to the Operations Manager while working closely with stakeholders across manufacturing client services and other departments. The Operations Specialist will maintain various operational standards and report on these as required to help meet both fiscal and unit-based service targets. On occasion this individual will travel to distribution centres manufacturing sites and/or meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Material management including responding to internal customers order processing stocking levels and delivery management
Commercial Invoice preparation
Cycle counting on site service inventories
Sales Order Management review and status processing
Purchase order review and processing
Track all outstanding requests delivering quality results free of errors and prompt responses
Ad hoc and reoccurring reporting of KPI measures
Manage internal customer escalations and issues which require calls and/or meetings
Ensure shipments follow government and jurisdictional regulations
Other duties/projects upon request
Indicative Performance Measures
Meeting or exceeding time/volumes based KPI measures
Timely completion of PDR goals
Pace and Accuracy of individual
Positive feedback from internal customers (Sales Client Services Manufacturing)
Compensation
In accordance with Massachusetts law the expected salary for this full-time benefited position is between $70000 -$88000. The actual compensation will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience and other factors permitted by law.
Person Specification Essential requirements unless stated
Education / Qualifications:
A relevant degree with BS/BA or 3 years of Operations experience.
In-depth experience with relevant tools and systems within Oxford Instruments America
Proven experience serving the Americas region (US CA and LATAM).

Possess a strong sense of urgency
Ability to anticipate the needs of manufacturing sales and customers to prioritize shipments and optimize stocking
Experience driving process improvement initiatives to deliver stepfunction improvement in service levels
