Job Title: Print Shop Specialist
Location: District Office
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrated competency in computer usage including Microsoft tools and district software.
- Ability to perform basic bookkeeping skills mathematical skills and operate standard office equipment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize prioritize and function under pressure and deadlines.
- Competency working in a culturally diverse environment or the willingness to acquire these skills.
Desired:
- Associates Degree in business or education related field.
Reports to: Technology Director
Job Goal:
This position is responsible for processing all printing requests of the District. The performance responsibilities as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the building assigned.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Correspond via phone email and in person with district staff in regard to all printing requests.
- Maintain control in office: waiting on customers making changes to orders assisting staff with materials and/or printing requests handing out supplies to staff where applicable.
- Computer input on in-house budget communicating with Director and/or District Office as needed.
- Order and bill all supplies.
- Perform back-up type duties in absence of other office staff.
- Assist the director in the overall operations of the department communicating and coordinating with other District staff as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Must be capable of sitting throughout the work day.
- Must present appropriate appearance and personal cleanliness suited to working in close proximity to students and adults.
- Must be able to work with interruptions during a work shift.
- Must be capable of working in a noisy environment.
Note: The physical demands described above represent real life tasks an employee may need to perform as part of the essential functions of this job. While the frequency may be low the above stated physical demands may be required during the course of a daily work shift. Tasks that have physical demands that exceed the above stated limits should only be performed with sufficient manpower or material handling equipment.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of Southeast Polk Board Policy.
Terms of Employment:
1. 10-Month Employment
2. Hours and number of days assigned in coordination with supervisor.
