The Learning Experience Sterling is seeking a reliable and organized Preschool Cook to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in our early childhood program. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured kitchen environment while supporting the health and well-being of young children.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve breakfast lunch and snacks according to established menus
Ensure all meals meet nutritional guidelines for young children
Maintain awareness of food allergies and dietary restrictions
Follow proper food handling storage and sanitation procedures
Keep the kitchen clean organized and compliant with health regulations
Manage food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Communicate with center leadership regarding kitchen needs
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Previous kitchen or food preparation experience required
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Food handler certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Reliable organized and able to work independently
