Job Summary of the A/R Specialist
The Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments resolving billing discrepancies maintaining accurate customer account records and collaborating with internal teams such as Sales Customer Care Contracts Treasury and Accounting. The A/R Specialist will play a key role in optimizing cash flow by proactively engaging with customers regarding overdue accounts processing customer payments and ensuring accurate application of payments within the companys accounting system.
Requirements of the A/R Specialist
- High School Diploma or equivalent AA degree preferred
- At least 2 years of accounts receivable experience
- Familiarity with collections strategies and dispute
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook Excel and Word
- Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience desired
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle customer interactions
- Ability to prioritize tasks meet deadlines and work independently or
Responsibilities of the A/R Specialist
The specific duties of the A/R Specialist include but are not limited to:
- Monitor outstanding accounts and perform proactive collection activities to minimize delinquency for assigned regions/customers
- Investigate and resolve payment variances short pays chargebacks and customer
- Maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions and collection
- Assist with customer invoicing
- Maintain customer billing contact
- Partner with Sales Customer Care Contracts Treasury Accounting and other internal departments to resolve billing or payment issues.
- Escalate account credit hold status to appropriate internal contacts as
- Contribute to process improvements and ensure compliance with internal
- Support ad-hoc reporting analysis or projects as
- Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation

This position is eligible for an annual bonus.

Hourly Pay Range
$20.25 - $25.30 USD
