Job Description:
This job is responsible for the delivery of a portion of the overall marketing strategy in the form of a portfolio of small to medium programs capabilities or processes. Key responsibilities include owning or supporting marketing operations including performance risks and controls production audits/exams/maintenance and content management. Job expectations include owning day to day relationships with key business partners solving moderate to complex business problems and independently driving strategic marketing improvements and solutions.
The Consumer Credit Card Digital Marketing team drives growth through targeted data driven email marketing. The team owns channel strategy and execution for email campaigns that deliver measurable sales results across consumer credit card products. We are seeking an email marketing manager who combines strong execution skills with deep performance ownershipsomeone who actively monitors results applies advanced insights and identifies new opportunities to improve sales and customer response.
Role Overview:
This role has direct accountability for achieving unit sales goals for the email channel and owns end to end campaign performance. The email marketing manager works in close partnership with product analytics technology creative legal brand and channel teams to translate business priorities and customer insights into high performing email campaigns.
Success in this role requires strong use of advanced insights and campaign performance metrics to inform creative direction testing decisions and new ideas that drive incremental sales and long-term improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Own delivery of email channel unit goals with direct accountability for sales results and performance outcomes.
Develop and launch business as usual and triggered email campaigns that drive consideration applications and sales among existing Bank of America clients.
Apply advanced insights performance trends and test results to inform creative development messaging strategy and campaign design.
Continuously monitor campaign performance identifying opportunities to improve conversion revenue and efficiency and translating insights into clear actions.
Proactively identify and propose new ideas innovations and optimization opportunities that drive incremental sales and improve channel effectiveness while connecting to broader business goals and long-term growth opportunities.
Lead creative development across the full lifecycle partnering with marketing agency legal brand product and channel teams to deliver compliant high performing campaigns.
Champion data backed recommendations clearly communicating tradeoffs and prioritization decisions with partners and leaders.
Execute and evolve a disciplined test and learn agenda focused on improving sales performance and customer engagement.
Manage the consumer card email calendar aligning campaign timing to sales priorities learning objectives and business needs.
Partner with line of business and data teams to refine targeting strategies and approve email lists that maximize sales impact.
Break down complex initiatives into clear workstreams managing timelines and dependencies across a matrixed organization.
Required Qualifications:
25 years of experience managing and executing email marketing campaigns with accountability for performance outcomes.
Strong ability to analyze campaign performance and apply insights to creative targeting and strategic decisions.
Understanding of rules and regulations governing email marketing.
Experience working with creative agencies and external partners.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced matrix environment with a proactive results focused mindset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including presenting performance results and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
Desired Qualifications:
Financial services or credit card marketing experience.
Experience with targeted multi-channel marketing campaigns including segmentation execution and performance tracking.
Comfort proposing new ideas and innovations based on data insights and customer behavior.
Experience presenting performance results insights and growth opportunities to senior leaders.
