Job Summary
The Community Engagement Manager leads Foundation for Recoverys outreach engagement online presence and media relations efforts to increase awareness of programs strengthen community partnerships and expand access to services across Southern Nevada. This role is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with referral partners community organizations employers and key stakeholders while elevating the organizations visibility through strategic communications storytelling and community engagement.

The Community Engagement Manager actively represents the organization in the community by facilitating presentations attending events and coordinating meetings with partners to drive referrals and collaboration. A key focus of this role is increasing awareness and utilization of Foundation for Recoverys transitional-aged youth recovery housing program serving young adults ages 1824 through targeted outreach and partnership development.

This position also leads content development and external communications including capturing member success stories creating content for social media and the website and supporting campaigns that highlight program addition the role supports media relations by identifying opportunities for press coverage coordinating interviews developing press materials and maintaining relationships with local media outlets to amplify the organizations mission and impact.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and relationship-builder with experience in community outreach public speaking media engagement and mission-driven storytelling and is passionate about advancing recovery and reducing stigma associated with substance use and mental health conditions.

Essential Functions
  • Develop an integrated communications and outreach plan.
  • Lead proactive outreach efforts to increase awareness of Foundation for Recoverys programs and services across Southern Nevada.
  • Conduct presentations workshops and informational sessions for community partners service providers and the public.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral partners including behavioral health providers healthcare systems schools workforce agencies law enforcement and community-based organizations.
  • Coordinate and attend community events resource fairs and networking opportunities to expand program visibility and referral pipelines.
  • Search for and secure public speaking opportunities to educate the public reduce stigma of behavioral health disorders and provide information about the organization and our programs.
  • Develop targeted outreach strategies to increase awareness and utilization of the transitional-aged youth recovery housing program for individuals ages 1824.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings with new and existing partners to strengthen collaboration and referral pathways.
  • Identify and cultivate new partnership opportunities that align with organizational goals and program growth.
  • Capture and elevate member success stories program milestones and community impact through written and digital content.
  • Develop and manage content for the organizations website social media platforms newsletters SEO and outreach materials.
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure messaging accurately reflects services and impact.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for media coverage to elevate the organizations profile and mission.
  • Draft press releases media advisories and talking points.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets journalists and community influencers.
  • Track outreach activities partnerships referrals and engagement metrics.
  • Support reporting for grants internal reports and organizational communications.
  • Initiate and manage organizational campaigns and events at the Foundation.
Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in communications public relations marketing public health social work or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in community outreach communications public relations or a related role preferably in a nonprofit or behavioral health setting.
  • Proficiency with digital media platforms search engine optimization content management systems and basic design/analytics tools (Google Ad Grants Analytics Data Studio WordPress social media platforms Email and SMS agents Canva Adobe etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining partnerships with community organizations referral partners and stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication skills including experience developing content for websites social media newsletters SMS campaigns public displays streaming platforms and printed outreach materials.
  • Experience with media relations including drafting press materials coordinating interviews or engaging with local media outlets.
  • Experience with public speaking drafting talking points and giving presentations.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (or ability to travel locally for meetings outreach and events).
  • Knowledge of or experience working with individuals impacted by substance use and/or mental health conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting or leading outreach for housing programs particularly recovery housing or supportive housing initiatives.
  • Experience working in grant-funded environments and supporting program reporting or communications deliverables.

Work Environment
Our employees work in a supportive and collaborative office environment. This is a full-time hybrid position working in the community at Foundation for Recoverys main office and from home if desired. Foundation for Recovery will provide all the tools necessary to perform the duties of the position.

Physical Demands
Must be able to perform extensive standing driving walking; to lift up to 20 lbs. regularly; Must be able to bend stoop and climb to reach addition to sedentary work. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists hands and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Job Details and Salary
  • Full-Time fixed-term salaried position ending September 29 2026 with possibility of continuation.
  • Salary Range: $75000 - $90000 per year
  • Health vision and dental insurance available after 90 days of employment
  • PTO accrual: 10 hours/month available after 90 days of employment
  • 3 Company Paid Sick/Mental Health Days in addition to accrued PTO.
  • 11 company-paid holidays annually
