Mayersohn Law Group P.A. is seeking an experienced Legal Billing & Collections Specialist with a background in Family Law billing legal collections and Clio billing. Youll manage the full billing cycle maintain accurate financial records and support the firms financial operations with autonomy and confidence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Timekeeping & PreBilling

• Review daily time entries for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate with attorneys to ensure timely corrections
• Generate and revise prebills in Clio

Invoice Preparation & Delivery

• Prepare and finalize invoices ensuring compliance with billing guidelines and LEDES formats
• Deliver invoices and track receipt

Payments Retainers Trust Accounting Disputes & Adjustments

• Process payments (credit card ACH check)
• Monitor trust and retainer balances while maintaining compliance with trust accounting rules
• Handle chargebacks and disputes processing refunds and adjustments with approval

Accounts Receivable & Collections

• Track outstanding balances and conduct soft collections with professionalism
• Support monthly reporting and reconciliation

Client & Internal Support

• Respond to billing inquiries
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized billing records

QUALIFICATIONS

• Family Law legal billing experience (required)
• Legal collections experience with FDCPA knowledge (required)
• Handson experience billing directly from Clio (required)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy and excellent communication and writing skills
• Understanding of basic accounting and trust accounting
• Highly organized and able to work independently
• Proficient in legal billing software timekeeping systems and Microsoft Office
