Job Summary
DIRECTOR OF DONOR RELATIONS
The Director of Donor Relations strengthens and grows CVICs revenue base through relationship building donor stewardship and engagement with individuals businesses community partners service clubs churches and volunteers. This role plays a key part in connecting donors to CVICs mission managing in-house tours and supporting fundraising efforts through community engagement and events.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelors degree and two to three years of experience in donor relations fundraising sales account management or a related field. Strong oral and written communication skills a passion for building relationships and engaging supporters are also required.
Must also possess and maintain a valid drivers license have access to personal transportation and be willing to travel for donor related activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience engaging with individuals and businesses coordinating events and presenting to community groups. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Excel Teams Outlook) and donor database/CRM systems.
COMPENSATION: $51184-$85307 based on education and experience. A generous leave package including sick leave annual leave personal leave; 11 paid holidays; health dental vision and life insurance; 403b with employer match; potential eligibility for federal student loan forgiveness; CVIC participates in the ND Working Parents Childcare Relief.

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a caseload of donors and prospective supporters building and maintaining relationships to deepen engagement and increase annual giving through consistent and intentional outreach meetings tours events and follow-up.
- Support donor cultivation and solicitation efforts by helping move individuals and businesses from initial engagement including tours and eventsto meaningful financial support contributing to CVICs annual fundraising goals.
- Support CVICs structured stewardship protocols designed to honor donors ensuring timely recognition and meaningful communication of donor impact.
- Record donor contacts touch points and move management activity in the donor database to ensure continuity and strong relationship management.
- Coordinate and serve as the lead for CVIC in-house tours including scheduling preparation hosting and follow-up.
- Support the planning and execution of CVIC sponsored events and assist with donor engagement tied to those events.
- Represent CVIC in the community through networking presentations and meetings to increase awareness and support.
- Serve as a contact for community engagement opportunities and assist with in-kind donations and partnerships as appropriate.
- As part of the development team partner with the Director of Marketing & Communications on donor outreach and engagement efforts including supporting in-person and online communications.
