Job Summary
Community Vision is seeking an HR Program Coordinator to help lead and strengthen our Supported & Community Living programs.

About the Role
The HR Program Coordinator plays a central role in making that happen.
This position sits between Human Resources and program operations helping ensure direct support staff are thoughtfully hired effectively onboarded and consistently supervisedespecially during onboarding and transition periods when expectations are set and performance matters most.
This is a leadership role for someone who:

Youll work closely with program leaders and HR to support both staff success and service continuity across homes.
What Youll Do
Support Hiring & Staffing Alignment
- Partner with HR on interviews and provide input on candidate fit
- Develop job postings tied to specific staffing needs
- Maintain awareness of vacancies and staffing gaps
- Communicate regularly with HR and program leadership
Lead Onboarding & Early Employee Success
- Support new hires as they transition into working independently in homes
- Ensure staff are connected to supervisors teams and key information
- Track onboarding progress and follow up on milestones
- Conduct check-ins focused on performance and support needs
- Identify and document early performance concerns and communicate with HR
Supervise Flexible & Transitioning Staff
- Supervise on-call staff Specialists and employees in transition
- Set expectations for communication reliability and professionalism
- Provide coaching and address performance concerns in a timely manner
- Maintain clear accurate documentation aligned with HR standards
Support Staffing & Daily Coordination
- Assist with scheduling shift coverage by responding to call-outs as needed
- Track outreach efforts and communicate updates
Who You Are
- You understand direct support worknot just the tasks but the relationships the variability of person-centered supports and the importance of getting staffing right for both employees and the people receiving services.
- Youre able to step into different environments learn quickly and build credibility with both staff and managers.
- You know how to balance support with accountability and you dont avoid hard conversations when something isnt working.
- Youre someone people trust quicklynot because youre easygoing but because youre consistent clear and follow through.
- Youre highly organized and comfortable juggling multiple priorities but more importantly you know how to decide what matters most in the moment.
- When things get busy or unpredictable you stay steady think clearly and take action.
This is not a passive role. It requires initiative judgment and a willingness to step into complexity. But for the right person its an opportunity to have a meaningful impact on both staff experience and service quality.
- Three (3) years work experience delivering person-centered supports for people w/ disabilities.
- One (1) year of work experience in supervisory role which required conducting performance appraisals scheduling coaching and disciplinary oversight.
- Approved Criminal History Check through the Oregon Department of Human Services Background Check Unit including not be on the OIG List of Excluded Individuals and Entities.
- Must have reliable transportation that complies with State registration and insurance requirements as well as a valid Drivers License.
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record which will be verified through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) upon hire and periodically thereafter.
- Must maintain CPRFirst Aid Certification OIS Certification.
Work Environment
This role works across supported individuals homes community settings and Community Visions administrative offices. It requires:
- Flexibility and mobility
- Driving through out the Portland Metro Area
- Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- Comfort working in varied environments
Schedule: 40 hours/week; Monday - Friday; regular business hours.
Salary: $55k - $60/annually. This position is exempt from earning overtime.
Location: This position will spend time working in the office (SE Portland) visiting supported people in their homes (Portland Metro Area) and/or providing one-on-one direct support (Portland Metro Area). Reliable transportation is necessary for required travel throughout the Portland Metro Area. Mileage is reimbursed at .725 cents/mile.
