We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinician who understands and respects the values of our tribal communities. Together staff will provide care that meets the needs of the community and offers a meaningful and culturally responsive experience for both patients and their families.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures
- Hand instruments and materials to the dentist during treatments
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures
- Apply topical anesthetics and fluoride treatments (if permitted by state regulations)
- Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms and instruments
- Follow strict infection control protocols
- Sterilize and organize dental instruments
- Dispose of biohazard waste appropriately
- Schedule patient appointments and manage records
- Verify patient insurance and process billing
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Order and maintain dental supplies and equipment
Requirements:
Specialty: Dental Assistant
Licensure: Certificate or Associate Degree as a dental assistant/technician from a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA) and 12 months experience within the preceding 36 months
Certifications: BLS (AHA)
Schedule: M-F 0hours
