What You Will Do
Contribute tothe design and development of complex microfluidic consumables with multiple integrated components including blisters heaters valves and fluidic networks.
Supporttestingto make critical design decisionsassessingtrade-offs downstream risks and feasibility tooptimize performance cost and manufacturability.
Execute Design of Experiments (DOE) anddraftcomprehensive testresultstohelpvalidatefunctional performance reliability and scalability.
Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks)to develop3D modelingandengineering drawingsforrapid prototyping through 3D printing CNC machining lamination and injection molding.
Contribute tofluidic product design including microfluidics MEMS and assay workflows (PCR electrochemistry cytometry immunoassay).
Conduct failure analysis and implement design modifications to address performance issues leveragingdata-driven problem-solving.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing Platform and Assay Development teams to optimizedesigns for usability and scalability.
What Youll Need to Have
BS or MS in Mechanical EngineeringBioengineering or a related field.
Experiencein Design of Experiments (DOE) foroptimizingproduct performance and reliability.
ExperienceinSolidWorks and CAD software for 3D modelingand prototypingdesign iterationmanufacturingand tolerance analysis.
Experiencein fluidic product designand testing with knowledge of fluid dynamicsthermodynamicsmicrofluidic systems and MEMS technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced technically challenging environment.
Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Python JMP) for decision-making and test platform development.
Experience in wet labhands-onworkflow andtestingwith biological samples.
Highly organized and detailoriented; applies datadriven and critical thinking methods to troubleshooting testing and failure analysis.
