Job Summary
Provides a variety of administrative and clerical support to Community & Economic Development Department staff applicants and general public. Serves as administrative support for various boards and committees including the Environmental Health Board Gunnison Sage Grouse Strategic Committee and the STOR committee. Coordinates the permitting process including intake of new applications responding to status inquiries and permit issuance and fee collection and processing. Provides monthly reports for all permit activity.
Pay Rate
The hourly range is from $23.03 to $29.19 depending on experience plus full benefits.

- Must possess a valid Colorado drivers license.
- Must complete ICS 100 and ICS 200 within the first year of employment.
Qualifications/Education
- Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as Microsoft suite accounting; database input and analysis; two (2) years experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Within 12 months of employment the employee will receive the Permit Technician Certification.
- Four (4) years of related experience particularly in government and/or in direct contact with the public in a demanding position.
- Any equivalent that the County deems appropriate.
