The Business Development Team Leader position is primarily remote in nature and will focus on telephonic sales responsibilities assigned to a Chubb-aligned geographic territory as well as oversight of a team of individual Business Development Managers. The role will report to the Vice President of Business Development.

Job Summary:

  • Lead a team of newly hired Business Development Associates across multiple regions in a manner that delivers superior sales results capitalizes on geography-specific opportunities & develops individual sales contributors
  • Responsible for the execution of telephonic business development strategies for an assigned group of agents across a defined territory.
  • Build & execute upon a strategy to attract new distribution sources to territory.
  • Develop One Chubb approach to facilitate growth across all business segments and products with specific emphasis on Small Business Lower Middle Market and Financial Lines segments.
  • Consistently deliver superior results on a monthly quarterly and annual basis.
  • Manage and maintain focus on achieving metrics across KPIs including quotes issued policies line and industry mix and profit.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of assigned marketplace Chubb capabilities within that marketplace and corporate vision.
  • Oversee all sales functions for assigned team identify trends within the teams territories to maximize business opportunities and proactively lead a team that delivers superior results.
  • Create sales scripts establish pre-calling planning and post-call follow up routines train team members on basics of inventory and territory management.


Qualifications
  • 2 years of leadership experience including hiring training and development of sales teams.
  • Proven sales experience in a high-performing sales culture and organization.
  • 4- year college degree preferred; professional designations such as CIC and CPCU a plus.
  • Negotiation Relationship Building & Influence skills.
  • Advanced understanding of Commercial Lines products and underwriting strategies.
  • Microsoft products (Dynamics Excel Word Outlook Power Point OneNote).
  • Entrepreneurial and creative approach to challenges and opportunities.
  • Inclusive leadership that brings out the best in self and others.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve monthly quarterly and annual production goals through others.

The pay range for the role is $90000 to $129000. The specific offer will depend on an applicants skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package more details on which can be foundon our careers website.
