Birminghams SEND services have been growing as part of the councils long-term commitment to children young people and their families and our improvements have recently been recognised by Ofsted. Were looking for motivated people to join our teams and make a meaningful impact in this priority area.
OurSEND Assistant EHCNA Coordinatorswork closely with our Co-ordinatorsto respond toEHCNArequests andmanage assessmentsfor children and young people withspecial educational needs. Working within the legislative framework of the Children and Families Act 2014 youwill provide a high standard of administrative support andaccuratedata entry whilst developing your knowledge of SEND.
You will have experience of managing communication with young people parents carers and professionals including schools and settings relayingaccurateinformationand explaining organisational skillswillsupportthe team to gather the informationrequiredtomakedecisions about whetheran assessment or EHC plan isrequiredfor a child or young personwithin statutory timescales.
