Job Title: Telemetry Technician (Pediatric) Location: New York NY Duration: 17 Weeks Schedule: 07:00 AM 07:30 PM
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician with pediatric experience to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and accurate ECG interpretation in a clinical setting. This role involves identifying arrhythmias responding promptly to critical rhythm changes and supporting multidisciplinary care teams through timely communication and precise documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented responsive and experienced in high-acuity monitoring environments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform continuous ECG monitoring and analyze cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
Identify and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and significant rhythm changes
Initiate emergency response procedures and accurately document cardiac events
Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) with proper electrode placement across care settings
Troubleshoot and resolve telemetry and monitoring equipment issues promptly
Respond to monitor alarms and escalate clinical concerns as appropriate
Communicate effectively with nurses physicians and other healthcare team members
Enter and verify physician orders in the clinical system
Retrieve and report laboratory results to clinical staff
Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and organizational standards
Safely operate and maintain telemetry and monitoring equipment
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in telemetry monitoring (pediatric experience required)
Strong understanding of ECG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Required Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in pediatric telemetry or cardiac monitoring units
Experience in hospital or acute care settings
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform in high-pressure environments
