Position Summary: The Production Planner manages the ERP system to support the companys manufacturing programs he/she will utilize the ERP Planning System to provide the business with the most responsive and customer driven manufacturing schedule possible. The Production Planner is responsible for Material Resource Planning. The Production Planner must be knowledgeable and interactive with all planned operations as well as key business functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create New Part numbers Bills of Material Work Centers and Routings in ERP Database (NetSuite)
  • Maintain ERP Database (NetSuite) in collaboration with NetSuite SME.
  • Prioritize and Schedule shop output in collaboration with Assembly (Build) schedule to meet monthly revenue goals.
  • Create and Maintain Shop Orders (manufacturing orders) to execute the production plan as agreed to in Sales and Operations Planning.
  • Participate in Monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings to develop and execute business goals (forecast).
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all planning and work order processes.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Education/Experience: Bachelors degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Ability: Read analyze and interpret business professional technical or governmental documents. Write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers customers and the public.
  • Mathematical Ability: Must be able to conduct many types of mathematical problems including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully individuals must have strong computer related skills including familiarization with word processing spreadsheet and MRP/ERP software.
  • Certificates and Licenses: APICS/CPIM desired.
