South Coast Baptist College (SCBC) is seeking a proactive and capable IT Officer to join our Information Systems and Technology team.


This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving working across a variety of systems and supporting both staff and students in a fast-paced school environment within a supportive Christian community.

About the role

Working closely with the Director of Information Systems and Technology and the IST Team you will support the day to day operations of the Colleges IT environment. This includes maintaining secure and reliable systems providing technical support and contributing to infrastructure projects and College events.


You will work across a range of platforms including Microsoft 365 Apple and Google environments supporting both users and systems to ensure smooth and effective operation across the College.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to staff and students
  • Maintain and support IT systems infrastructure and platforms
  • Manage user accounts licences and access
  • Support device deployment imaging and lifecycle management
  • Monitor systems security and performance
  • Assist with IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support College events with IT and AV requirements


About you

  • Experience in an IT support or infrastructure role
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Windows environments and networking
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Customer focused with strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and in a team
  • Willingness to learn adapt and grow in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in an education setting is desirable

  • A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Active participation in a church or Christian community exemplifying Christian beliefs behaviour and practices.
  • Acceptance of the Colleges Statement of Faith.
  • Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board Principal staff students and parents.
  • Commitment to personal best practice.
  • Ensure decisions are impartial fact-based and fair.
  • Model appropriate and proper channels of communication.
  • Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos.
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
  • Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the Colleges values and policies.

Possession of the following certifications:

  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Clearance
  • First Aid Certificate
