Purpose/Objective of the Role:
The Advancement Operations Student Assistant will perform essential database and organizational tasks that allows the University to better connect with and support our alumni and donors.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Duties include data entry and analytics researching and updating biographical data and other office duties as needed.
- This is a 20 hour per week summer position in an office setting.
- We are looking for a student who is available to work May 10 2026 through August 16 2026 between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday through Thursday. Schedule days/times are flexible. This position pays $11 per hour.
Qualifications:
We seek a student who is dependable and a self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills a curiosity for analyzing and exploring data and an ability to maintain confidentiality; database skills are a plus but not a requirement. Students should have a familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word and Google Docs and Sheets. They will receive on the job training in Raisers Edge (Advancements CRM).
Potential Future Career Benefit:
This position is applicable to many career fields but may be of interest to someone in qualification analysis research or data-related fields and NGO management. They will develop skills in critical thinking database records organization and processes and working in an office environment. They will also gain exposure to the fields of fundraising and philanthropy.
