Do you want to work at the core of critical digital infrastructure

In this role you will join the team responsible for monitoring and operating parts of the network that keep businesses and societies connected. This is a role for someone who is skilled at troubleshooting staying calm under pressure and want to work hands-on with infrastructure and network services in a 24/7 environment.

What you need to succeed

• Solid knowledge of network and network operations
• Experience from a similar operational environment working with monitoring and fault resolution
• Professional communication skills in Swedish and English both spoken and written
• Ability to work in a structured process-driven way
• Ability to obtain security clearance

About the role and the team

You will join our Network Operations Center (NOC) in Uppsala where we monitor diagnose and operate GlobalConnects core network across several countries around the clock all year round. The team works closely with internal specialists field resources partners and customers to ensure stable services and fast handling of incidents.

In this role you will work across technologies such as IP MPLS and WDM and collaborate with experienced colleagues in a shift-based setup. You will also work with equipment from vendors such as Huawei Nokia Cisco Juniper Alcatel and Extreme.

What youll be working on

• Monitoring infrastructure service platforms and services across the network
• Terminal-based troubleshooting and fault resolution
• Handling incidents and providing clear updates to relevant stakeholders during ongoing troubleshooting
• Coordinating escalations to specialist teams when needed
• Supporting a high-quality customer experience through professional communication
• Improving internal ways of working by developing and updating standard operating procedures

Who we are looking for

You are curious self-motivated and enjoy solving technical problems in a structured way. You can keep track of several tasks at the same time and stay focused when theres a lot going on. You work well with others communicate clearly and contribute positively to the team by sharing knowledge and supporting common ways of working.

Experience with ITIL relevant technical education vendor certifications or additional language skills such as Finnish would be an advantage.

Please note that this role is subject to security clearance and being able to obtain and maintain that clearance is a requirement for employment.
