Processing Liquid Food Solutions is responsible for the development and manufacturing of solutions and branded processing units for liquid food applications within dairy beverage prepared food and plant-based industries. Working closely with our market operations and customers worldwide we strive to deliver solutions that create maximum value for both our customers and Tetra Pak.
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will play a key role in customer order projects providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle. As part of a multidisciplinary team of process automation and mechanical engineers you will contribute to the design and delivery of advanced processing solutions for customers across the globe. You will also collaborate closely with R&D production sales suppliers and project centers serving as a technical expert and mentor within the organization.
The position is permanent and based in Lund Sweden.
What you will do
- Lead the mechanical design and technical execution of customer order projects from order intake to final delivery.
- Act as the subject matter expert for mechanical engineering solutions and provide guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and review complex mechanical designs layouts piping systems and technical documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable standards quality requirements and customer specifications.
- Drive design reviews and risk assessments to ensure robust and cost-effective solutions.
- Support production and assembly activities resolving technical challenges and ensuring smooth project execution.
- Collaborate with sales teams in pre-project discussions technical clarifications and customer presentations.
- Contribute to product development and continuous improvement initiatives identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization.
- Mentor and support junior engineers fostering knowledge sharing and engineering best practices.
- Work closely with global teams suppliers and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
We believe you have
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering and design preferably within food processing process industries or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Extensive experience with 3D CAD software and mechanical design methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of piping design process equipment mechanical systems and manufacturing principles.
- Experience managing technical aspects of customer projects and collaborating across multiple functions.
- Good understanding of industry standards engineering calculations and design validation processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Professional proficiency in English both written and spoken.
