Job Title: CT Scan Technologist Location:Edison NJ Shift: Night Shift 5x8 Hours (11:00 PM 07:30 AM SundayThursday) Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform advanced computed tomography procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role involves producing high-quality diagnostic images supporting interventional procedures and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform complex CT scans and related imaging procedures
Review patient history and ensure accurate documentation in PACS/EMR systems
Prepare and administer contrast media as prescribed
Verify imaging orders and collaborate with radiologists and physicians when clarification is needed
Screen patients and ensure proper preparation prior to procedures
Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access as required
Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after contrast administration
Ensure imaging quality and proper patient identification in all scans
Provide clear instructions and explanations to patients and families
Maintain workflow efficiency in a high-volume environment including emergency department cases
Retrieve and upload outside imaging studies for comparison
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory and safety standards
Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of CT experience required (5 years preferred)
Experience working in a busy Emergency Department environment required
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications & Licensure:
ARRT (R) certification required
NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required
BLS (AHA) required
ARRT (CT) certification preferred (or must obtain within 12 months if applicable)
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of anatomy physiology and radiographic positioning
Experience with CT equipment PACS systems and EMR platforms (including Epic preferred)
Familiarity with Fuji PACS and hospital-based RIS/HIS systems
